To provide you with the full range of SpendPeel features, we request certain permissions and collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: We collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials through Google Firebase to sync your data across devices.
• Financial Data: We store the transactions, budgets, and loans you enter to provide tracking and insights.
• SMS Permissions (Optional): This feature is off by default and only enabled if you manually opt-in from the settings. When enabled, SpendPeel parses incoming SMS messages from financial institutions locally on your device to automate expense tracking. No SMS data or content is ever uploaded to our servers, stored remotely, or shared with any third parties.
• Voice & Audio (Optional): Our speech-to-text feature requires access to your microphone to allow you to add expenses using voice commands. Audio data is processed locally or via secure platform services and is not stored permanently on our servers.
• Contacts (Optional): We access your contacts to help you easily identify individuals for loan and debt tracking. This information is used only within the app to link transactions to specific people.
• Exact Alarms & Notifications: We use precise alarms to ensure you receive timely reminders for budget limits, goal deadlines, and loan due dates, even when the app is in the background.
• Biometrics: We use device biometric authentication to secure your financial data and prevent unauthorized access to the app.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to maintain, protect, and improve our services, including:

• Providing your personalized financial dashboard and automated transaction categorization.
• Ensuring accurate and timely deadline reminders for your goals and loans.
• Improving app stability through performance monitoring and crash reports.
• Maintaining the security of your account and financial data.

3. Data Storage and Security

SpendPeel uses industry-standard cloud services, specifically Google Firebase (Firestore and Authentication), to store and secure your data. All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit using secure protocols (HTTPS/TLS), and we implement robust security measures to protect your information at rest. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

4. Third-Party Services

We may use third-party services like Google Firebase for authentication, database management, and remote configuration. These third parties have access to your Personal Information only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

5. Your Choices

You can view, edit, or delete your data at any time through the app. If you choose to delete your account, we will purge all associated personal data from our active databases in accordance with our data retention policies.
